CONCERT ON THE WATER

Orchestre de Chambre de Genève / Raphaël Merlin

Plage des Eaux-Vives | 20h - 20h45 | Concert

We wouldn’t expect them there, and yet! In the splendor of the setting sun and shimmering light, the OCG sets sail for a concert on the water. Classical, did you say classical?

Renowned for its excellence, the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève is equally known for its ability to break the mold and imagine new formats to make classical music accessible to a broader audience. For “Genève Genève,” no fewer than twenty-three musicians and a soprano transform the lake into a sensational listening salon. From Handel’s “Water Music” to Fauré’s “Les Berceaux”, including some more contemporary pieces, let your ears drift through a repertoire inspired by water. Be prepared for a risk of submersion…
