Rotonde du Mont-Blanc
What better place to twirl around than a rotunda? In the late afternoon, head to the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc to learn a few basic swing, salsa and afro-house dance steps. Come the evening, practice your moves on the improvised dance floor and let your body do the talking to the thumping beats of live performances!
Pont de la Machine
Why not take a little time to breathe and relax? To start or end your day in complete serenity, walk by Pont de la Machine. At dawn or at dusk, enjoy a little moment away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Sound meditation, Qi-Gong, yoga, freestyle dance, pilates: you’ll be spoilt for choice. Come recharge your batteries!
Quai Général-Guisan
(R)awaken the music lover in you! In the heart of the harbour, but in the intimacy of a protected cove, come and discover the talents of classical music from Geneva’s finest ensembles. Whether solo, duo or trio, you’ll be able to leaf through a few pages of this great repertoire, which certainly doesn’t need the glitz and glamour of a theatre to enchant ears willing to listen.
Jardin Anglais
The (green) lungs of the festival, the Jardin Anglais will joyfully host live performances by the best representatives of Geneva’s contemporary scene and a whole range of food and drink stalls. The Ferris wheel and miniature train are also great ways to have fun and discover the city. There’s something for everyone, from art to fine dining!
Quai Gustave-Ador
Welcome to the republic of children! In addition to dedicated shows and activities, some children will even get the chance to run their own fully-fledged hairdressing salon! Will you entrust them with your mop of hair? How about that for a challenge?! On the same street, restaurant owners will take up another challenge, that of offering lunch and dinner for 100 guests. A mouthwatering prospect…
Plage des Eaux-Vives
Take a seat on the lawn or settle down on the pebbles for a front row seat to a show that will honour Lake Geneva and the power of the elements. For two evenings, the lake will serve as a backdrop for a visual and musical extravaganza, where the power of the ensemble and the possibilities offered by technology will enhance the magic of a voice rising into the night sky…
Surprise Surprise
Other venues will feature events organised by the City of Geneva, such as a paddleboat parade, a soapbox race, a card game tournament (Jass), and a rollerskate party!
