The Sound of Geneva
départ depuis la scène de la Rotonde du Mont-Blanc | 19h30 | Déambulation
Concerts that come to you! Onboard the little tourist train, amateur bands from Geneva travel around the city, bringing you the Sound of Geneva.
How does a city sound? Who makes music there? Because it’s not always professionals who set the tone; here, it’s exclusively passionate individuals playing, people you might not have heard of yet but should get to know! Reggae, choir, or punk: music and culture intersect and traverse the city on the little train. This red vehicle, usually taken by tourists to visit Geneva, is taken over by amateur groups for the occasion, playing as they roll and stopping along the way. Follow them, hop on board, and listen to the sound of Geneva!
Concept and staging: Antje Schupp
Assistant: Solal Choffat
Featuring a dozen amateur Geneva-based groups
Thanks to Gilles and Nicole Urben for the use of their little train
